Electronic Cajon

Introducing the SoftSand "Electronic Cajon" or "E-Cajon"! This revolutionary cajon frame allows you to mount electronic drum pads on a frame exterior to your acoustic cajon, letting you strike the pads with hands, brushes, or sticks -- much the same way you would play your traditional cajon.

As you can see from the picture above, your cajon sits within the e-cajon frame. You can then mount electronic drum pads of your choice to the side panels adding any triggered sound to your cajon's mix. Bongos, congas, cymbals, toms, snares -- any sound your sound module can produce!

Pictured above is the SoftSand E-Cajon Frame shown with a standard Meinl Snare Cajon and two Simmons 9" Pro Electronic Drum Pads. (The cajon and pads are not included.) With the exterior frame design, pad-to-pad and cajon-to-pad cross-triggering is virtually eliminated.
